Richard Gunner's Fine Meats wins 2 Premier's Food Awards

At the 2011 South Australian Premier's Food awards held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on the 25th of November, Richard Gunner's Fine Meats (Feast! Fine Foods) were recognised with 2 awards.

Beerenberg Developing Markets Award (Domestic)

This award recognises an initiative that has been ongoing for at least 12 months.

Richard Gunner's Fine Meats (RGFM) has been in existence since 2001, starting from a cattle property on the Coorong employing thee people has grown to six retail butcher shops and a production facility with a total workforce of around 70 in 2011. The markets for our products are ever expanding and now include supply of our products to some of Australia's finest restaurants, our retail butcher shops and more recently our online store.

Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society Fostering Value Chain Award

This award recognises a business or industry group that is leading the way is fostering value chain practices.

Describing RGFM’s value chain is difficult, because in truth, it is a number of chains, all linked with the same over-arching objective of providing consumers with restaurant quality meat direct from the paddock. Because RGFM aims to present a complete meat offering to its customers, it has a huge number of supplier-partners, several processing partners and a suite of premium brands, some of which are owned by value chain partners, developed with the assistance of RGFM. All of these elements combined with clear and open communication channels ensures RGFM have the best opportunity to further enhance the value chain.

The key factor that links all the individual elements feeding into the RGFM vale chain is the passion for our products and the commitment to deliver the consumer an exceptional eating experience, time and time again.
